Well we were hopeful. This may be a good option for the younger crowd but not for us in our late 30s. We had guests coming in town for thanksgiving and reading the specs on this it looked very promising. The box showed up a little tore up. Thankfully nothing was damaged inside however the cushion was folded which created a serious crease and indent. It seemed thick enough for someone to sleep on. My friend flew in and we had it all set up. Well....... after one night she opted for the blow up mattress for the rest of her stay. We have finally managed to make time to disassemble and box it up to return it. Hopefully the return goes smoothly, will keep you posted.

Comfortable and looks pretty good. It's a full size firm but not hard mattress. BUT this frame is not easy for the average person to assemble & it's very challenging to do alone. A lot of the picture diagrams are complicated & there are the usual problems of screws & bolts not quite fitting into the proper hole. I have assembled a lot of furniture and this.was.one.of the.worst. Finished product is nice.

I found this futon to be well-made and comfortable. I am 5'2" and weigh about 110 lbs. This works perfectly for me. I cannot speak to how it would be for someone that is 6' or taller. When set up as a sofa it is truly comfortable and we have had up to 3 people sitting to watch a movie with plenty of arm room! I would recommend this if you need a bed for a guest room. This would be perfect if you were entertaining grandchildren, etc. I would purchase this item again knowing the product quality.

It's good quality but we were missing a screw. It's comfortable and is perfect for what we need it for. Came back months later to review and I can tell you that it's still holding steady - considering it's being used for a separate media/office room so it gets daily use. The only reason I reduced it by one star is because of the missing screw for the mattress holder on the sidebar - and because those aren't really strong enough to hold the mattress in completely - I just wish those brackets were a bit taller to hold that mattress tightly.

It's OK as a bed for my 165-pound frame. Firm, but I like that. A couple heavyweights might wear this out in short order if used regularly. Shifting between couch and bed is quite smooth after spraying the spring assembly with WD-40. Setup was fairly straightforward, although I had to redo a couple assemblies. Fasteners not working out exactly cued me in to assembly errors, and the nuances were well thought out. Having a set of good socket wrenches and screwdrivers to put it together helped lots vs. the provided assembly tools. You'll rest better if you have mechanical assembly skills.
